For registrations, RSVPs, and similar use cases, collecting payments upfront can make a big difference. It helps reduce no-shows and makes managing guest lists much easier. After all, sending separate payment links or asking people to share proof of payment through messaging apps can be tedious and prone to errors. Fortunately, some form builders now come with a built-in payment collection, offering an efficient, professional, and hassle-free solution for both you and your respondents.
When to Use Built-In Payments in Forms
- Event Registrations and RSVPs: Collect fees upfront to reduce no-shows, secure seats, and manage guest lists more efficiently.
- Workshops and Classes: Charge a registration fee to confirm attendance and cover materials or instructor costs.
- Restaurant Reservations: Require a small deposit to confirm bookings and minimize last-minute cancellations.
- Service Appointments: Request a partial or full payment to reserve slots and discourage no-shows.
- Order Forms: Let customers to pay directly for products, digital downloads, or made-to-order items.
- Donations: Make it easy for supporters to contribute directly through your form, whether for fundraisers, causes, or community events.
How to integrate a payment feature in Google Forms
- On your Google Form, click the vertical ellipsis ⋮ on the upper right corner followed by Get add-ons.

- Search for payment tools like Payable Forms or PayQ. Install your preferred plug-in.
- Click the puzzle icon to set up your new payment add-on.

- Publish your Google Form.
Use a built-in payment feature
There’s a quicker way to collect payment without installing an add-on. Google Forms doesn’t have this feature yet. However, other newer and more intuitive form builders like Fillout let you do this.
Simply create a Fillout form and add a Payment page.

Then, enter the details in the popup or in the left-hand panel. That’s it! Publish your form and share or embed it.

You can even dynamically update pricing and order details per customer, or to perform calculations.

Collecting payments doesn't have to be complicated. While Google Forms can get the job done with the right plugins, platforms like Fillout offer a more user-friendly, all-in-one solution, making payment collection quicker and hassle-free.
